2 Kings 21

 Read 2 Kings Chapter 21 and 2 Chronicles Chapter 33 for this week's study. Here are some questions to help prepare for our study. King Manasseh 2 Kings 21:1-18 and 2 Chronicles 33:1-10 How old was Manasseh when he took the throne? Consider Joash. (2 Kings 12 and 2 Chronicles 24) another king of Judah who took the throne at a young age. Was he actually allowed too rule the nation at so young an age? If not, who helped Joash? Who do you think helped Manasseh? How did Manasseh change religious life/practice in Judah? What was the first step in this change? 2 Kings 20

This week we will consider from 2 Kings 20, 2 Chronicles 32:24-33 & Isaiah 38-39. Last time we considered Hezekiah's 1st test: The Assyrian invasion of Judah. This week we will consider the other 2 tests: His illness and the envoys from Babylon. As we saw last time 2 Kings 18-20 are not in chronological order. Our chapters this week, 2 Kings 20, et. al., occurred before Sennacherib's 2nd invasion in 2 Kings 18:17.
