  1. How did Jehu use their actions to strengthen himself?
  2. Who are the Rechabites?
  3. What do you know about Jehonadab (Jonadab in some places) You may have to dig for this one.
  4. How did Jehu deal with the Baal cult?
  5. Jehu talked about his zeal for Jehovah. How far did that zeal go?

Summary 

  1. Last time a number of you brought up Hosea 1:4. Did Jehu go beyond what he was commissioned to do by the Prophet? Explain.
  2. How should we remember Jehu? 
  3. What has the Lord shown us about Himself and about his people in this chapter?

2 Kings 13

We will be covering 2 Kings 13 this week. Even though Some of the rule of Israel's (not Judah's) king Joash (Jehoash) is covered in 2 Kings 14 it fits better with King Amaziah of Judah. 2 Kings 20

This week we will consider from 2 Kings 20, 2 Chronicles 32:24-33 & Isaiah 38-39. Last time we considered Hezekiah's 1st test: The Assyrian invasion of Judah. This week we will consider the other 2 tests: His illness and the envoys from Babylon. As we saw last time 2 Kings 18-20 are not in chronological order.
